What Do I Have to Do to Get a Six Pack Stomach?

Six Pack Stomach- The reality behind getting a six pack!
There are a lot of info commercials selling abdominal machines of all kinds claiming to be the best way to get a Six Pack Stomach.
If it were as easy as they make it out to be, every one would have a Six Pack Stomach.
There are abdominal machines that will help you to build up a Six Pack Stomach, but you shouldn't forget that fat will hide those muscles.
If you want to be able to see your six-pack, you will also need to reduce your body fat percentage.
When you look at the skinny guys and girls with great abs, and wonder how they have developed them, The reason for this is because they have a low body fat content.
Don't rely on your abdominal exercises to get your body fat percentage down to the level required.
A common misunderstanding is that to eliminate fat in specific places, you simply work on the muscles in those targeted areas. This is totally false. Your body will adjust to your exercise routine and will use the appropriate energy source needed for the completion of your routine.
Carbohydrates or proteins are usually used during this type of exercise.
OK so which abdominal exercises are the best you can do?
There is no need for any special equipment, you can get a Six Pack Stomach by doing the following exercises.
The two basic workouts I suggest are doing 3 sets of crunches at 80% of what your maximum output is. The points to be careful about the position you assume are -you should lie flat on your back, your hands should be on your chest and the knees should be bent with your heels being as close to your backside as you can comfortably bring them.
To start each “crunch” firstly pull your belly button to the floor, and then roll your self forwards in a smooth motion starting from your head. Raise your shoulders just until the center of your back clears the floor. Don't try to go the entire way up.
To set your routine up you simply do a sample of as many as you possibly can. Next you multiply that by eighty percent. So lets assume on your first attempt your highest was ten. And 80% of 10 is 8. So your routine for the first week is to do 8 crunches 3 times with a one minute gap in between each set.
Each week, you should look at your maximum again and re-assess it.
All the best in developing your Six Pack Stomach, and remember if you stick at it, It won't be long before you can show them off.

Is Labeling Children Harmful? ADHD, Aspergia, ODD

No one is denying that there are variations of ability among children or that some struggle with particular subjects or situations more than others. That has always been the case with humans and always will be. We are 'different' to each other. But in recent times it seems that different is now a 'mental health problem' and attracts a wide array of labels, which in themselves can be very harmful to children. They can become a self fulfilling prophecy as well as damaging the child's self esteem.I am not anti using labels to diagnose a problem as I understand that most labeling is necessary in order to identify a problem that needs specialist attention and can relieve the parent and child of wondering why they are not able to keep up with their peers. But I advise caution as the side effect of this can be that we are too quick to find labels to suit what may otherwise be transient , fleeting problems. It is bearing those short term problems in mind that I am compelled to write this article.Labels are all around us, but this article focuses on children particularly as children tend to adopt any labels given to them as 'their role in life'. We know that modern parenting books advise against telling children they are 'naughty' but rather we say the action was 'naughty' instead. I.e. 'Throwing that ball was naughty' rather than 'you are a naughty child for throwing that ball'. Children believe most of everything adults tell them, so if you tell them they are 'A' they will believe you and model their behavior accordingly.Consider this:If you were labeled 'antisocial' because you did not wish to participate in the street party that mostly everyone else in your street was enjoying, would you think that a fair and reasonable assessment of your character? Does the fact that you dislike crowds and hustle and bustle and noise and instead prefer quieter more select group activities mean that you are some how defective as a human being and deserving of a specialized label or worse labeled as having a mental health problem? Knowing that there are many like you does not reduce the likelihood of your being given this label. Are you abnormal as the label suggests and suffering from a mental health problem, or are you just different to those who enjoy the fayre? Are we allowed to be different to the majority anymore without attracting a label?According to what is happening in recent years with children the answer to that question is a resounding no. Children are not allowed to be different. Teaching standards fit a particular model of education and if that model does not suit your individual learning leads, you are diagnosed as having a 'mental health problem' and given a label that will follow you throughout your life. A simple adjustment to teaching style could eliminate your difficulty in certain areas but still the label remains.Labeling creates an image you are defective which can lead to low self-esteem, hinder progress and worse become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Psychologists and Sociologists are aware of this problem so why is labeling the differences on the increase? This world is made up of a great many different people and necessarily so. As well as academics, we also need practical, creative, physical people to do those jobs that require, strength, passion, single mindedness, leadership, and courage. Yet if we try to create a 'personality' type that all children adhere to, the diversity of character required to fulfill those many different roles will disappear and we will be left with a group of people who can only perform a single function. Diversity is a good thing, even if it does put pressure on educational services to accommodate the different learning styles! I am very wary of the popularity of labels being attached to what was previously a case of 'not having an aptitude' for a particular subject.Different teaching methods in all subjects can show improvement as we all have different ways in which we process information. One of the reasons boys are no longer doing so well in schools is that the education method is now more geared towards a female style of learning than a males. But if we are not careful rather than recognize the need for a different teaching method, we will start labeling boys (who are not effeminate) as having some educational deficit. What we need here is greater variety of teaching methods, rather than one size fits all and a bunch of unhelpful labels that convince the child they are 'abnormal' and cannot change.Studies show that many children diagnosed as ADHD improve when on a proper diet with proper stimulation and guidance. The reason for this could be misdiagnosis of the behaviour, which was instead the result of poor diet etc and not neurological. Misdiagnosis is a common problem with this disorder. The results of misdiagnosis can be devastating for the child as it is has been shown that Ritalin can cause brain damage if prescribed incorrectly. Presumably they know this because it has been prescribed incorrectly and those are the results! I therefore advise caution before accepting a 'label' like this for your child and advise ruling out other possible causative factors first.Labels once applied tend to focus our full attention on treating the symptoms. We forget about the possible cause. Meanwhile the child is stigmatised for life. A percentage will be unaffected by changes in diet and routine and support and possibly can benefit from medication but many are too easily labeled with disastrous results.Supporting source below:http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/17620.php"The harm labeling children as 'depressed' can reap. "So how did we get into this mess, asks the author? Undoubtedly, part of the problem is with pharmaceutical industry tactics, but changes in Western cultural beliefs have also resulted in more childhood behaviours being viewed as a medical problem"Leah Gray aka creativeblogger is an Internet Writer/marketer, Problogger, Dating eBook author and Relationship Columnist. Simple Tips to Help You Improve Your Memory Dramatically

Throughout this article I will be discussing several simple yet effective memory improvement techniques. Quick tips that will help you to increase comprehension of what you read as well as a greater understanding of the information you digest. Through the help of these memory improvement techniques you will be able to use your study time efficiently and make the most of the information you want to take in.
Step 1 - Preview your material. Previewing your material helps you gain a greater understanding of what lies ahead in the text you are about to read, and prepares your mind for the topics it is about to engage in. You can preview the material you are going to be studying by looking at the titles of each chapter of a book for example, or skimming through the subheadings in an article. You are just trying to get an overall viewpoint here of what the topic is going to be about and how it relates to what you already know and what you want to learn.
Step 2 - Select the sections you feel are most relevant and read through them first, but make sure you do not miss out any crucial information that relates to the sections you have selected. However, books are usually compiled in a logical order, so most of the time you will find it more effective to read through the material as you normally would, starting from the beginning, right through tot the end.
Step 3 - If you feel you have not quite grasped the topic or think you have missed out some important information, quickly review in your head what you have just read, and then move onto what you missed out.
Step 4 - Review what you have read. Read through the chapter titles or subheadings again and remind yourself what you learned from each. Right now it may be important for you to take notes, so making a mind-map would be a way to organize your thoughts.
Memory improvement is not difficult at all, as you can see from my Memory Improvement and Genius Brain Training pages, as long as you take the right steps and keep practicing consistently you will see a great improvement in your memory and reading comprehension.

Motivating Generation Y - Getting in the "Flow"

The stereotyping of Gen Yers (born between 1982 and 2002) by Baby Boomers (born between 1943 and 1960) and Gen Xers (born between 1961 and 1981) tends to be that they have short attention spans, are spoiled, disrespectful, and technology-dependent. In reality it is probably more accurate to describe Gen Yers as fast-paced, multitasking, fun-seeking, and technology-savvy.
One thing is for sure - Gen Yers are different in terms of their values, expectations, and motivations! So how should we older (and wiser?) folks be thinking about managing and motivating Gen Yers in the workplace? Many of us are familiar with the standard theories of motivation rolled out routinely at management training courses (Maslow, McGregor, McClelland etc. just to mention the "M"s) - but not so many of us have heard of "Flow Theory" from a theorist with the almost unpronounceable name of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (pronounced Chik-zent-mi-hally).
In a nutshell, Flow Theory tries to identify the conditions for happiness (motivation?) as applied to people in their work. In his book Good Business: Leadership, Flow, and the Making of Meaning, Csikszentmihalyi outlines a concept of being "in the flow" while at work. I am pretty sure that most of us have experienced this state at one time or another (if not in work, then when we are engaged in our favorite pastime) - he describers it as when:
Attention is focused; there is full concentration and complete involvement
Action and awareness merge
There is freedom from worry about the future
Self-consciousness disappears
The sense of time passing gets distorted
The experience becomes its own reward
An example of being in the "Flow State" at work was provided by Mike Murray,Ex Vice President, Human Resource, Microsoft Corp, who said: "Living is so much fun, and I see work as one element of that. I want to be able to love work because I have to spend so much time in it. I better enjoy it ... I also really like the business of business ...... Business is fun for me"
Wow! - this seem like a very powerful and productive state to be in - but how to generate it? According to Csikszentmihalyi there are three conditions to generate the flow experience:
There are clear goals at every step of the way
There is immediate feedback
There is a balance between challenges and skills
All three points are important for managers of Gen Yers. Clear goals and immediate feedback are what GenYers expect, but Boomers and Xers may not be so willing to provide (e.g. "no one told me what to do, I had to work it out for myself" or "they need to show some initiative and not have to be told what to do all the time" etc., etc.).
The final point of balancing challenge with skills is an important one that is also often overlooked by Boomer and Xer managers. Too much challenge without the commensurate skill (or getting thrown in at the deep end of the pool) is, according to Csikszentmihalyi, anxiety producing and can preclude learning and motivation. On the other hand, insufficient challenge given the skill level of the individual leads to boredom and low morale. This balancing act leads to an optimal zone called the "Flow Zone". that can be visualized as follows:
For those of us seeking ways to manage the growing numbers of Gen Yers in the work force it would be well to take notice of some of these ideas. Helping employees achieve their "Flow" may sound a little wacky to some of us, but it may be part of the answer to retaining and increasing the productivity of the best Gen Y employees. After all - if you don't consider "Flow" maybe your competitor will!

Shipping Cars

Shipping cars from one point to another requires the services of shipping companies. These companies transport the cars over long distances - taking these from one point and delivering it to another point as per the desires and customizations of their customers.Mostly, shipping cars are required whenever a company relocates and needs to transfer the company owned cars to the new site. Another reason may be when the car manufacturers need to transport their new models to showrooms in other states or in other countries. Or, the other reason may simply be that one needs to shift into a new home in and wants that his precious car would soon follow his shifting. To get the best deals for shipping cars, one must give ample time for research work. Search the Internet, browse over the shipping companies' websites, check the forums and discussions of those who have had experiences with them, and best of all - ask from the known and trustworthy people who have tried any of these companies or services. Ask about how were their delivery timings or the level of commitment on their promises and above all ask for the quality of the work. Were there any problems? How good is their customer service? Were there any delays in their deliveries? Were there hidden fees charged on your account? In shipping cars, one should know which services are very essential for you and you really cannot do without them. It is wise to get as many quotes as you can and get a general idea on the range of the prices offered by the different shipping companies. Check which services better go with these price-ranges. Exclude the companies from your list that cannot provide the essential services you need. Then, check the extra-added services, if the remaining companies in your list offer any of them. If there are some that offer the same extras, choose the one with the sensible cost - not necessarily the lowest priced. After choosing the shipping company that could best provide you the needed service, make sure the contract would show all the services they initially offered in writing, and includes verbally ones while you negotiated with their staff. Do not miss out anything and get them into writing for your future prospective. It is better to have all these things on the paper and documented, so that if anything should go wrong in future, you have something to support your claims. It just needs a little effort to for researching on your parts and having some negotiating. Bed and Breakfast Trends

In the current economic climate, more and more families are finding it harder to afford that annual vacation. As finances become tighter, the family vacation is one of the first luxuries that end up being sacrificed. It is no wonder that many hotels and vacation facilities are seeing a decline in visitors at present and some of them are struggling to continue trading. Many families are considering camping and self catering options when it comes to their time away and some are even staying at home until the financial situation is more stable and interest rates drop. With some small companies going into closure there are many people who are struggling to find employment, especially in sectors such as construction where the instability is really being felt. So what alternatives are people considering when it comes to their vacations? One sector which seems to be hanging on and riding out the economic storm is that of the smaller hotel. The bed and breakfast trends at the moment are showing that these establishments of 8 or less letting rooms seem to be coping quite well. There are a number of reasons for their ability to manage in this less than favourable economic climate. One of the main factors is their suitability for short visits. If you are unable to afford a whole week or fortnight package vacation, you can be more flexible when booking at a bed and breakfast hotel. Short stays of only a couple of nights are possible and this can mean not only smaller bills, but less time taken off work... essential if you are self employed or do not have any paid vacation time from the your employer. Bed and breakfast trends show that most people only actually stay at the establishment for two or three nights.Another factor that causes the bed and breakfast trends to be favourable is the fact that many people stay in these establishments for reasons other than vacation. It may be for a short stay to visit relatives for a family party or perhaps a wedding. Bed and breakfast hotels are usually ideally placed in rural areas where it is sometimes difficult to find a hotel and those in smaller towns may end up being the only option if you need to stop over for a visit. Very often, even a recession will not be reason enough to miss out on a good family get together or wedding.Nearly 90% of bed and breakfast hotel owners are resident on the property and very often the letting rooms are an integral part of what was their family home. Because of this they do not have to consider some of the increasing rents that some slightly larger establishments are currently suffering. Many of their homes are already paid for and they have converted some of the family home into bed and breakfast facilities following the departure of a grown up family. This being the case, they are economically more able to keep the business going even if times get a little hard and the bed and breakfast trends are showing that they seem to be coping. As small businesses which are run independently by the owners, often you will find that they are able to offer some incentive to encourage people to book. It may be free breakfast or internet access. There is usually something that they can come up with which will set them apart at very little cost to themselves. Another benefit which may influence the bed and breakfast trends is the fact that, if it is owned by a couple, one of them may well have a job which will help to see them through a time when their income from the bed and breakfast is not as good as it could be.Ivy Johnson is an accomplished niche website developer and author. To learn more about bed and breakfast, please visit Cheap Bed And Breakfast for current articles and discussions.Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ivy_Johnson Selengkapnya...
